Culinary Arts students have been busy learning new skills. Level 2 Baking & Pastry Arts prepared a chiffon cake to learn about the function of eggs in baking.

HHS Interns shared their experiences with business and industry at the March luncheon meeting of the Harrisburg Chamber of Commerce. Lauren, Lyric, and Derek were interns for 518 Marketplace, Sanford Health, and The Dapper Dog Grooming Salon respectively. #CTE #Tigerswork

Culinary II Level students visited Plums Cooling Co to learn about coffee and it’s place in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry. We paired some latte with our own homemade cinnamon swirl quick bread. Delicious. Thanks Traci and @plumscookingco for their support.

Our Mentor, Chef Nicholas from Avera visited Culinary Arts students today. Baking and Pastry Level 2 focused on Chocolate Profiteroles while Level 1 learners practiced their knife skills and searing / braising techniques preparing Glazed Cinnamon Pineapple. It was a great day of learning and exploring within the industry.
